Carmine ''Kelly'' Marotta
Carmine ``Kelly'' Marotta, Age 93, passed away at Capital Health System Fuld Campus, Wednesday November 6, 2013, surrounded by his family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he moved to Hopewell, NJ at a young age, residing there most of his life before recently moving to Pennington NJ. Kelly was a carpenter by trade and owned a construction company before retiring over 20 years ago. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. Kelly was loved by all and nothing made him happier than spending time with family, especially his great grandchildren Courtney & Kylie McElroy, Brody Kopliner, and Carson Schooley. He also enjoyed fishing, which he took up at age 90, with his sons Jimmy and Mark. He also enjoyed sailing with his son Mike. Kelly was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years Rena who passed away in 1995. He also precedes his parents Michele and Vita Marotta and his 8 brothers and sisters. Kelly is survived by his sons Michael and his wife Diane of Seaside Heights, NJ, Jimmy and his wife Linda of Hopewell, NJ, and Mark and his wife Brenda of West Amwell, NJ. He also leaves behind grandchildren Kim Marotta, Dawn McElroy and her husband Chris, Jimmy Marotta, Nicole Schooley and her husband Zack, Mark Marotta Jr. Pamela Johns, Michael Marotta II and his wife Andrea, and great grandchildren Quinton Johns and Destina Marotta. Funeral services took place 12noon, Monday, November 11, 2013 at the Cromwell-Immordino Memorial Home, 71 E. Prospect St, Hopewell, NJ 08525. Interment was followed in Highland Cemetery. Calling hours were held Sunday from 3pm to 8pm and Monday from 10am to 12pm at the memorial home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Mark J. Marotta, JR, Supplemental Benefit Trust Fund, 1743 Linvale-Harbourton Rd, Lambertville, NJ 08530. CROMWELL MEMORIAL HOME
